What kind of photographer are you?

I am "a Mom with a camera" on a mission to capture the connection within your family. At my core, I am passionate about capturing the genuine energy that is unique to each of us. Yes, I'll capture that "say cheese" photo for the Christmas cards, but my true passion is capturing photos that are authentic and that  you can feel when viewing your gallery.  I want you to remember how  your Child's head felt while resting on your chest, to remember the feeling of your partners warm embrace,  to remember the sounds of your children's laughter,  and to remember the smell of the soap you used when they were little, all from looking back on your gallery years later. With my photos, you can expect warmth, connection, and love. So, what kind of photographer am I? I would call myself a passionate one. 

 

Where will my session be held?

There are THREE options for where your session can take place. In studio, in your home, or at an outdoor location of your choice. 

In Studio: My studio is located in Spring City, PA. My studio has two HUGE windows that allow tons of natural light to flow into the studio. This space is specially designed and staged to look like a warm and cozy home. Draped in natural tones and textures with pops of greens from plants and burnt orange accents. Complete with a bedroom set up, a living room set up, and lots of space to curate the space to fit your session needs! The Studio is open all year round and provides a perfect location for cold and rainy times of year.

In Your Home: In home Sessions are special in their own regard because the back drop is the place that is near and dear to your family. Together we will find the areas of your home that provide enough light for photography. Places in the home that I shoot at regularly are the living room, kitchen, master bedroom, bonus room, and nursery. Every home is different and rooms that we can shoot in will depend on natural light!

Outdoor Sessions: We will work together to find the perfect location to fit your families style. I love shooting at local parks, lakes, mountains, gardens, fields, cities, and more. I have a list of locations I shoot at regularly and I am also always open to exploring new locations so, if you have a specific location in mind, I would love to see if its suitable based on light and accessibility! 

*The session price includes a location within a 20 mile radius of Phoenixville, PA. If traveling further than 20miles, a $60.00 travel charge will be added onto your session price. *

How long will my session be?

I don't love putting a time stamp on my shoots, Why? Because every session is different based on all of the variables that come along with your session. Some sessions with smaller families or couples I can finish in 30 minutes while larger families may take closer to an hour or longer. Some locations are larger taking more time walking in-between promps resulting in longer sessions. Rest assured that regardless of the time it takes I will give you a gallery filled with a variety of poses, backdrops, and groupings. I keep my sessions face paced to maintain everyones engagement during the shoot!

What time is best for shooting?

I always say that hands down, golden hour is the best time for outdoor photos. This is the hour or so before the sun sets for the evening. This is the only way to get the beautiful golden glow in your images and I CRAVE this light. If you are unable to shoot in the evening, we can also consider an early morning session. Lighting is typically too harsh mid day and will cause uneven and unflattering lighting in your photos.  

If we are shooting in your home, we will schedule your session early to mid morning with lighting is best indoors. 

What will my session be like?

Be prepared to have fun and be silly during your session, and to laugh...a lot! I will have you doing things like tickling you babies, kissing your partner, whispering nonsense into ears, running and dancing around, and making silly faces (ps, I'll be doing it too!). This is how we can capture those genuine laughs and smiles. I will be posing you and queuing you in to provoke the emotions I'd like to bring out in your photographs. I'll also be capturing all of those in between moments like walking during transitions or when your children want to wander off and play so don't be surprised to see me shooting the whole time! We will utilize different spaces of the location you choose to get a wide variety of images and keep everyone interested. 

What should I wear?

Your wardrobe should be comfortable and reflect who you are. I recommend staying within the neutrals, jewel tones, or earth tones. These tones show up beautifully in images, are timeless, and easy to coordinate. I do not recommend matching but rather coordinating your outfits! I always recommend starting with the lady/Mom's outfit and building around that. Girls, this is your time to shine and be the true goddess that you are! I want you feeling your absolute best, so start with you, and build your family around that.

What if my kids are cranky or won't sit still?

I get asked this question a lot, and as a Mom of two myself, I can certainly understand! First, take a deep breath and remember that we are here to relax and capture images that are the true spirit of your child!  children are not usually fond of being told to pose or smile, It is best if we just give the children time to relax and try to capture their natural self. Don't worry if your child is running around and active, my favorite images are typically the ones where your child is busy playing and exploring. To get the most out of your session, make sure that your little one has rested and has had adequate snacks and water.

Will I get the digital photos from my session? How can I order prints and products from you?

Around Three - Five weeks after your session with me you will receive an email with a link to your own personal gallery as well as a print release. All of your digital images will be in full resolution and completely edited and artistically retouched. You will have the ability to download, save, print, and share your gallery with friends, family, and to social media platforms from one convenient place. I use a professional printing studio to preserve the colors and quality of your images unlike other printing services that alter the photos quality and look. Printing thorough your gallery insures that you honor the integrity of your professional images. You also receive a $25.00 print credit for every full session booked so be sure to utilize that!
